I've had the privilege of capturing countless beautiful weddings across many a beautiful venues all around the world, but there's something truly special about Castell D'Emporda. Recently, I had the honour of photographing Judit and Mattis's intimate celebration at this stunning Costa Brava venue, and I'm more than excited to share their story with you.
Meet Judit and Mattis. They chose the picturesque Castell D'Emporda as the backdrop for their big day. Mattis, the founder of high-end luggage company Carl Friedrik (which you might recognise from the HBO show 'Succession'), and Judit wanted a day that reflected their sophisticated taste while maintaining a relaxed, intimate atmosphere.

Judit was a vision in her Rosa Clara wedding dress, its clean lines and elegant silhouette perfectly complementing the castle's timeless architecture. Marly Bierhuizen's expert touch with makeup enhanced Judit's natural beauty, creating a look that was both fresh and glamorous.
The floral arrangements by El Jardinet Granollers added a soft, romantic touch to the medieval stone walls and lush gardens of Castell D'Emporda. Delicate blooms in muted tones created an atmosphere of understated luxury throughout the venue.

With about 80 of their closest friends and family in attendance, Judit and Mattis's wedding struck the perfect balance between intimacy and celebration. The couple's international backgrounds were reflected in the diverse group of guests, creating a truly global gathering in the heart of Catalonia.
